We pump septic tanks and holding tanks for guest houses, workshops, warehouses, offices and property managers in Riga and the Riga region. Prices start from €75 for up to 4 m³; send a request with your sites and the frequency you want.
What your business gets
- A pumping schedule based on the tank volume and water use, so the tank doesn't overfill and you don't need emergency call-outs.
- An invoice to the company's details for each visit or for a period, as we agree.
- A document for each collection with the site address, the volume removed, the date and the pumping contractor's details.
- Several sites in one request, for example for a property manager with several buildings that are not on the mains sewer.
Why documents matter more for a business than for a household
The municipality monitors how often and how much wastewater is taken away from each decentralised system. For a business, the consequences of a breach are greater than for a private person: in Riga, a legal entity can be fined up to 280 fine units for breaching the rules, and in Mārupe Municipality up to 300. In Riga, the owner must submit a declaration of the wastewater volume removed in the previous year by 1 May each year, and it is easier to fill in if all the collection documents are in one place.
Cabinet Regulation No. 384, point 9.1: the service document (address, volume, date, pumping contractor's details) is kept for at least two years. Riga City Council Binding Regulations No. 66: point 5.6 (declaration by 1 May), point 30 (fine of up to 280 fine units for legal entities). Mārupe Municipality Binding Regulations No. 13/2023, point 41 (up to 300 units). Sources: likumi.lv, checked on 30 October 2026.
What wastewater we take away - and what we don't
We take away domestic wastewater: from toilets, showers, kitchens and washrooms. A business is obliged to make sure that the wastewater it hands over to the pumping contractor meets the requirements the municipality has set for the mains sewer, because at the reception point it goes into the city's treatment system.
- Cafés and canteens must hold back grease in a grease trap. Cleaning it is a separate job: grease trap cleaning.
- The contents of oil separators, oils, paints and chemical solutions are not domestic wastewater. They go to hazardous waste management companies, not to a pumping contractor.
- If production wastewater is more polluted than domestic wastewater, it must be treated before it is discharged into the sewer. Describe in your request what goes into the tank.
Cabinet Regulation No. 384, point 9.2: the owner makes sure that the wastewater handed over to the pumping contractor complies with the regulations on sewerage structures and the municipality's binding regulations on the mains sewer. LBN 223-15, point 128: wastewater with a higher level of pollution is treated before it enters the external sewer network. Sources: likumi.lv, checked on 30 October 2026.
How to get started
- Request Company name, site addresses, tank volumes, approximate monthly water use and the frequency you want.
- Schedule and price We will contact you within 5 minutes of your request, work out the frequency, and agree the price and the invoicing arrangements.
- Regular pumping We come on schedule. If the load at a site changes (season, number of guests, production volume), we adjust the schedule.
- Documents After each visit we issue a document for the volume removed; at the end of the year you can collect them for the declaration.
Guest houses, campsites and seasonal sites
For seasonal businesses, water use can vary several times over: on a summer weekend a tank can fill up as fast as it does over a whole month in winter. That's why it is better to link the schedule to bookings rather than the calendar, and to reserve more frequent visits for the summer. If the site has a biological treatment plant, it needs regular maintenance according to the manufacturer's instructions, not just pumping. See biological treatment plants for businesses.
How much septic tank pumping costs for a business
The price per pumping is the same as in the published price list and depends on the volume: up to 4 m³ from €75, up to 6 m³ from €90, up to 10 m³ from €110. Outside Riga we add a travel charge of about €1 per kilometre. The price depends on the tank volume, access, the number of sites on one route and how often we need to come.
